Captain’s Place began in 1994, when the Marmelo’s turned their passion for Portuguese cuisine into a warm, family-run restaurant in the heart of the SouthCoast. From day one, authenticity and quality have been at the core of everything we do. What started as a local favorite quickly became a beloved spot to enjoy comforting, home-style Portuguese dishes that bring people together—just like back home in Portugal.

Today, Captain’s Place is still proudly family-owned and operated, continuing the traditions that made it special from the start. With every dish, we strive to serve the same rich flavors and genuine hospitality that have kept our guests coming back for generations.
